What time do gates open?
The gates open daily Friday to Sunday 8.30am.
Where is Equifest?
Claudelands Events Centre, Corner of Brooklyn Road and, Heaphy Terrace, Claudelands, Hamilton 3214
What gate do I come through?
Public Parking
Public parking is free and accessed through Gate 1, Heaphy Terrace, Claudelands. Disabled parking is available and is adjacent to the main entrance. Due to limited space, a valid mobility parking pass MUST be displayed to access the disability parking spots.
Horse Trucks and Back of House
ALL horse trucks, floats and camping must use access Gate 3. Access is Brooklyn Road.
Are dogs allowed on site?
No dogs are allowed in the event zone except for certified assistant dogs.
Is there food suitable for dietary requirments?
Yes, we have a variety of food trucks that cater for most requirements. Check out our exhibitor list.

Where is the Event Office?
The Equifest event office is located inside the entrance to Hall A & Hall B.
Where is First Aid located?
If you require First Aid during Equifest, the First Aid providers are located inside the Indoor Arena next to the event office and main entrance.
Lost Property
If you find any lost possessions, please hand them in to the Event Office located indoors next to Hall A & Hall B.
Is Equifest livestreamed?
No, Equifest is not livestreamed. Please beware of scam links posting on our social media.
Will there be public camping at Equifest 2026?
No. There will be no public camping available at Equifest 2026. Visitors will need to arrange their own accommodation during the event.
TICKETING FAQ's
Why has Equifest changed to Ticketek?
Ticketek is our venues ticketing provider. The booking process may look different from previous years, but Ticketek offers improved ticket management and reserved seating options for our Nightshows.
Do I need a Ticketek account to purchase tickets?
Yes. All Equifest tickets are sold through Ticketek, and you will need a Ticketek account to complete your purchase. If you don't already have one, you can create an account during the checkout process. Having a Ticketek account allows you to access your tickets, manage your order, and receive important event updates.
How do I purchase a VIP or Supporters Weekend Pass?
Select the quantity of Adult and/or Child passes required.
Click Add to Cart.
Your cart will automatically include:
Three Day Pass
4CYTE Friday Nightshow Festival of Speed
Pragma Homes Saturday Nightshow Festival of Fun
Dressage Masterclass (if it is a VIP ticket)
Free Merchandise Item
Review the items in your cart and click Continue.
Sign in to your Ticketek account, or create an account if you are a new customer.
Complete your purchase by entering your payment details and confirming your order.
Once your order is complete, you will receive a confirmation email from Ticketek.
Please note:
All Nightshow seating is reserved seating (you will be asked to select where you want to sit)
A separate email containing your merchandise redemption code and claim instructions will be sent prior to the event.
I have purchased a VIP or Supporters Pass. How do I claim my free merchandise?
After purchasing your Weekend Pass, you will receive a confirmation email. Closer to the event, a separate email will be sent to the email address used for your booking containing a unique redemption code and instructions on how to claim your free merchandise. Please keep an eye on your inbox (and junk/spam folder) for this email.
Can I purchase tickets at the gate?
Yes tickets can be purchased at the gate.
Do children require tickets to the Nightshows?
Yes, everyone over the age of 2 years old requires a ticket for entry to the Nightshows.
Are Nightshow seats reserved?
Yes. For the first time, all Nightshow tickets include reserved seating. When purchasing your tickets, you will be able to select from available seats within the seating areas offered.
The Nightshow arena has been divided into different seating categories:
- A Reserve – Premium seating with the best views of the arena.
- B Reserve – Excellent viewing positions at a mid-range price.
- C Reserve – Great value seating located further from the arena action.
All ticket holders will have an allocated seat for the Nightshow.
Can I sit with my friends or family for the Nightshows?
Yes. To ensure you are seated together, purchase all tickets for your group in a single transaction. Seating together cannot be guaranteed if tickets are purchased separately. Seat changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please carefully review your selected seats before completing your purchase.
I'm having trouble purchasing tickets. What should I do?

When can I purchase general admission tickets?
General admission tickets go on sale 1 August 2026 (this includes GA Nightshow & GA Brett Parbery Masterclass tickets).
How do I access my tickets?
• Your tickets will be delivered electronically via email. (E-tickets)
• You can then print these or bring them on your phone or tablet to the event so we can scan you in at the door
• We will send you your e-ticket as soon as you complete your purchase please note sometimes they can end up in your junk folder, please look there for them if you can't find them
Can someone else use a ticket with my name on it?
Tickets are issued in the purchasers name, however the ticket can be used by anyone for entry. The purchaser does not need to be present. The ticket will be scanned only allowing one scan.

Can I bring food and drinks into the Claudelands Arena Nightshows?
No. Claudelands Arena has food and beverage restrictions in place for all Nightshows. Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the arena. A range of food and drink options will be available for purchase from within the venue.
Will there be public camping at Equifest 2026?

How does ticket scanning work each day and Nightshows?
All tickets will be scanned at the event entrance upon arrival. Please have your tickets ready to scan, either on your mobile device or as a printed copy, to help ensure a smooth entry process.
GA Day Passes are scanned when entering Equifest during the day.
Nightshow tickets are scanned separately when entering the Claudelands Arena for the Nightshow each night.
VIP, Supporter and Multi-Day Pass holders will have their day tickets scanned on their first day of entry and will then receive a wristband for access throughout the day events.
Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?
Tickets are non-refundable except where required by law or in accordance with Ticketek's terms and conditions. Please ensure you select your tickets carefully before completing your purchase. View Ticketek terms here.
How age is a childs ticket?
5 -15 years. *Children general admission entry under the age of 5 are free if accompanied by an adult.
Note: All children over the age of 2 years old require a ticket for Nightshows.
