The South Island equine community will be treated to three days of inspiration, shopping, competitions and thrilling entertainment when Equifest heads to Christchurch from 9-11 December 2022.

“Taking Equifest to the South Island was an easy decision,” says Event Director Ammie Hardie. “The South Island has a really strong equine community with regular competitions for all level of riders as well as many people working in the industry.”
A combination of seminars, clinics and demonstrations will feature as part of Equifest Christchurch's educational line up. Experts will cover a wide range of topics and disciplines relating to horse care and riding, while opening doors to new disciplines in a fun and interactive way, regardless of discipline or ability.
Plus, get ready Christchurch because we are bringing Equifest's most loved entertainment nightshows to the South Island. Friday’s Festival of Speed, brought to you by Fixine for Equine includes pony and horse speed classes where power, accuracy and control are required. After your first day at Equifest top it off by sitting back and watching the thrilling sport of showjumping heightened by the awesome atmosphere of the indoor arena. In spectacular Saturday nightshow fashion, the evening will be a celebration of some of New Zealand's most loved equine performers. Equifest’s Saturday Nightshow Presented by NSC - The English Saddle Company showcases the unique skills and bond between horse and rider, and the remarkable trainability of horses and their cooperation to perform.
